Community projects linked to local shopping parades across Ipswich Borough can now apply for funding to improve facilities for the local community. As part of the £25m Towns Deal for Ipswich, the funding utilises government funding to improve the town’s economy.
The Planning & Development Committee at Ipswich Borough Council met this morning, Wednesday 31 May 2023, to discuss four applications. All Committee members were present, three applications were approved and one application was refused.

Local businesses and community groups are invited to apply for funding to host music themed events as part of the summer 2023 Ipswich Weekender. £500 per event is available to help organisers to hold music events in Ipswich on 30 June or 1 July as a preview for Ipswich Music Day in Christchurch Park on Sunday 2 July.
