The Council has unveiled its cultural strategy, with major investments planned in the town. The strategy includes the appointment of an arts development officer, the move of the Film Theatre out of the Corn Exchange into the Odeon and plans to show more of the town's collections which are currently in storage at Christchurch Mansion. There are also plans to redevelop the Corn Exchange and a possible Waterfront setting for a new arts venue.
The strategy was unveiled by Councillor Judy Terry, the Council's Culture & Leisure portfolio-holder.
