Ipswich Borough Council is offering a free voluntary surrender service to get more unwanted cars from the town's streets, gardens and open spaces. A similar campaign last January saw 109 cars disposed of in this way.
The three-month campaign will help anyone who wants to dispose of their old wreck legally and responsibly - and with no charge.
Too many cars end up rotting away or being set on fire and the Council is determined to do all it can to make Ipswich Cleaner. Since April 2005, StreetCare has got rid of 189 dumped cars.
If you want to take advantage of this temporary offer please call the Council's StreetCare service on 01473 433000.
