Planters to brighten up the town centre

Planters to brighten up the town centre have been bought by Ipswich Borough Council.

Twenty-two planters bursting with blooms are situated at several prime locations around the town centre including Lloyds Avenue, the Buttermarket and in front of Crown Pools. The planters and plants were supplied by Plantscape and funded by the Liveability project in conjunction with Ipswich in Bloom and the Ipswich Partnership.

Councillor Inga Lockington, Environment portfolio-holder, said: "I am delighted that we have been given the money to enable us to buy the planters to improve the look of Ipswich and hope that they will give us pleasure for many years to come."
