Pantomime time has arrived early in Ipswich - oh yes it has! To prove it, veteran actor of stage and screen Brian Blessed sailed into the Waterfront to announce that the first professional pantomime to be held at the Regent Theatre will be Peter Pan. As Brian was dressed as a fearsome Cap'n Hook people were not left in any doubt. Soon, that booming voice was echoing around the Waterfront as he roared his approval for pantomime in general and the Regent's Peter Pan in particular. Starring alongside Brian in the role of Peter is BBC TV children's presenter Kirsten O'Brien (any youngster who has watched Cbeebies' Smarteenies will know who we are talking about). Ipswich Borough Council has teamed up with production company Duo Entertainment to bring Peter Pan to the Regent from 17th December 2005 to 15th January 2006. Buy tickets before 1st September 2005 and receive 10% off all ticket prices. Regent Box Office direct on 01473 433100.
