A big well done to all Ipswich's blue bin users.
A big well done to all Ipswich's blue bin users. Since the scheme has been running you have helped recycle 3,000 tonnes of waste and by next year we aim to have pushed that figure up to 11,000 tonnes as every household will have access to a blue bin. Please remember to only put dry and clean materials in. You can use your blue bin to recycle papers (but not shredded paper), cardboard, cans, tins, and plastics.  Please do not put carrier bags in your blue bin even if they contain materials that are recyclable. Once a fortnight our refuse collectors will empty your blue bin, provided the right materials have been put in the bin and the bin is out on the boundary of your property. The Council is happy to offer assistance with any matters concerning recycling and waste management.  If you have any questions please contact us by any of the following means: Recycling Helpline 01473 433017 recycling@ipswich.gov.uk
