The Ipswich Anti-social Behaviour Network

The Ipswich Anti-social Behaviour Network has launched a new way to report anti-social behaviour - with a camera phone.

People with camera phones are now able to simply snap photos and send them via MMS to the Ipswich ASB Network. The photos are received directly to a team members' desktop and they can then liaise with the appropriate agency to take action. This service will supplement the existing ways to report Anti-social behaviour. The incident reporting forms, free phone line 0800 138 6570 and on line forms have been a great success over the past year.

A text message will be sent to the phone thanking the sender for the photo. Developed by Youview, a company specialising in image enabling technology, in conjunction with the Ipswich ASB Network the Picsure service is highly customisable leaving an ASB unit free to tackle relevant local problems in the best way for their area.

It is hoped the new reporting service will increase community involvement in making Ipswich a safer and better place to live, work and visit.
