The preview screening of a film by the Ipswich Film Theatre
The preview screening of a film by the Ipswich Film Theatre at the Odeon cinema marked a little bit of cinema history last month.

Film Theatre owner  Ipswich Borough Council is improving facilities in the town for fans by leasing a screen at the Odeon multi-plex cinema which is open seven nights a week - and some afternoons, too. Films are still being shown at the present film theatre within the Corn Exchange but the Council is hoping to move films out of this building as part of a longer-term redevelopment package and to take advantage of the likely opening of a university and new FE college in the next few years. The new concept is being called ift@Odeon.

Tickets for Film Theatre shows at the Odeon must be bought there. Full details of films can be found at www.ipswichfilmtheatre.co.uk
