Community groups, village halls and schools in the district are invited to enter a county-wide competition that could win them solar-powered hot water for their building.
The competition is organised by Suffolk Energy Action Link (SEAL), the partnership of local councils that promotes energy saving projects.
The competition is a set of questions on energy use and an explanation of why the group would like to win the solar system. Telephone SEAL on 0800 02 88 938 - the closing date for entries is 18th March. The installation of the system must be completed by the end of 2005.
SEAL also offers free advice to people on how to make their homes more energy efficient - call the above phone number for more details.
