Team Ipswich is proud to announce that the town has been awarded the British Cycle Speedway Individual Championship and the British under 16s Individual Cycle Speedway Championship in August 2007.
Hosting this competition is not only a coup for Ipswich but also for other local clubs with the semi-finals taking place at Kesgrave, Great Blakenham and Somersham with a total of 48 riders taking part from all over Britain. The top 16 scoring riders will then go forward to the finals at Ipswich. The under 16s competition will emulate this, with finals also taking place at Ipswich's home venue, Whitton Sports Centre.
