A concert in aid of the East Suffolk Prostate Cancer Support Group is being held on Saturday 13th May 2006 at St Augustine's Church.
The concert, featuring well known local soloists and instrumentalists, along with an 80-strong choir, aims to raise awareness as well as money for the group and has been put together by Derek Smith. The programme features light classical music, old and new.
The East Suffolk Prostate Cancer Support Group helps men and their families who have been affected by prostate cancer. The work of the dedicated volunteers is supported by Ipswich Hospital.
More than 30,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer each year while many more cases go undetected.
The likelihood of a full recovery is very high if the cancer is detected and treated in its early stages. Public awareness is so important. Many lives could be saved. Call 0845 300 8383 for further information.
