Monopoly fans will relish the chance of buying their own Ipswich version of the board game, with sites such as the Ancient House and the Waterfront replacing Leicester Square and Mayfair.
One fan is the Mayor of Ipswich, Councillor Henry Davies. He attended the launch of the Ipswich game at the Sir Alf Ramsey statue, itself one of the chosen game sites. He said: "I have always loved playing and I think this version will again put Ipswich on the map. It brings even more fun to local people."
In all, 33 Ipswich favourites will appear on the customised board. The game will hit shop shelves this October.
Winning Moves UK is producing this special Monopoly game under license from the Hasbro Properties Group. Monopoly has attracted players of all ages from more than 80 countries since it was invented in 1935. More than 200 million copies have been sold worldwide in 32 different languages.
