Opening for all on 8th May – a revolution in service delivery

The one-ipswich Customer Services Centre in the Town Hall will open its doors on Monday 8th May 2006. The centre has been established by Ipswich Borough Council and its partners in the one-ipswich strategic partnership to bring services together.

The Town Hall is the place to go if you want to pay bills or to ask for advice. Suffolk Constabulary will have staff on duty at the Town Hall to help you, and Customer Service Direct will be offering services from Suffolk County Council and Mid Suffolk District Council.

The Town Hall centre is high-tech, with highly trained staff to help you on anything from housing advice to planning, from booking shows to all benefits and council tax enquiries, from police enquiries to reporting a wheelie bin that has not been emptied, and also social care and education enquiries.

The one-ipswich Customer Service Centre will be open six days a week. The opening hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm (later opening on Wednesday at 10am for staff training) and Saturday mornings from 9.30am to 12.30pm.

Outside these hours the Police Station in Civic Drive will be open from 6pm to 11pm from Mondays to Fridays and from 8am to 11pm on Saturdays and Sundays for Police enquiries.

Civic Centre will be closed this summer as Ipswich Borough Council moves to a new head office called Grafton House near the football ground in Ipswich Village.
