Tickets for Snow White, the next fantastic pantomime at the Regent Theatre
Tickets for Snow White, the next fantastic pantomime at the Regent Theatre, are already on sale. The show runs from 15th December 2006 to 7th January 2007.
This year’s Peter Pan, starring Brian Blessed and Kirsten O’Brien, was absolutely “pan-tastic”.
The irrepressible Brian Blessed and the children’s favourite Kirsten O’Brien might have got top billing but the tens of thousands of people who went to see the Regent’s first professional pantomime will have hailed the entire cast. Helped along by Carl Johns as Smee the pirate, Peter Pan was a piece of magic and follows earlier show successes such as Grease and Little Britain.
Peter Pan sold 36,000 tickets, more than all the Daniel O’Donnell shows at the Regent put together. This means almost half a million pounds was taken through the box office.
Peter Pan was produced jointly with Duo Entertainment, who were called in after Regent owners Ipswich Borough Council decided that a professional panto was the best way of helping to make the theatre a commercial success.
