Ipswich Borough Council will be taking part in Spring Clean Suffolk week in March
Ipswich Borough Council will be taking part in Spring Clean Suffolk week in March 2006. The idea came from Carol Gurney, President of the Suffolk Show, and has snowballed into a county-wide initiative supported by local councils and environmental groups. The aim is to encourage residents to help clean up the county and spread the message: the culture of littering is not acceptable. In Ipswich, the Borough’s StreetCare service already employs a Litter Enforcement team and has a Cleaner Ipswich Hotline to make a difference quickly. If you have any problems about litter, fly-tipping, abandoned cars and fly-posting, please ring 01473 433000.
