At the Corn Exchange on Saturday 11th February 2006, the Wolsey Orchestra has a concert featuring music by Prokofiev, Shostakovich and Hindemith. Local violinist Jeanine Thorpe, a world class star of the future, plays the lead in Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto No. 1 in D.
Nostalgia just doesn't come any better than ALL OUR YESTERDAYS. An afternoon and an evening show take place at the Corn Exchange on Wednesday 29th March 2006. This is your chance to go on a breathtaking journey from the good old days of Music Hall, through the 40s, 50s, 60s and finally into some of the beautiful harmonies of the 1970s.
Thursday 20th April 2006 at the same venue sees legendary cockney duo CHAS & DAVE strutt their stuff. They will perform hits from their Greatest Hits album, including “Rabbit” and “Gertcha”.
