Hollywood Film Theatre is the new name for the best world cinema in the business

Hollywood Film Theatre is the new name for the best world cinema in the business!

The Ipswich Borough Council-owned film theatre in the Corn Exchange is now being run by experts in specialist films, Hollywood Cinema Ltd of Norwich.

The five-year deal to bring better programmes and better seats and décor in the Corn Exchange facility was signed by Hollywood and the Borough Council.

The first films offer a great choice for all the family.

Hollywood is committed to investing in the cinema and have pledged a great deal for film fans. Among the improvements planned are Dolby digital sound, new seating and refurbishment. There is also a great deal on prices. Adult prices are £5.20, with concessions and gold card-holders paying £3.99. Tickets for Senior Shows on Thursday mornings cost £3.

Councillor Judy Terry, the Council’s Arts, Culture & Leisure portfolio-holder, said: “We are very excited by this new partnership. It promises to bring a better deal for film fans. We all want to see a vibrant film theatre that has real appeal.”

Hollywood will be launching Bollywood films every Sunday from September and hopes to run a film festival next year.
