An evolving exhibition that encourages visitors to explore local community heritage
An evolving exhibition that encourages visitors to explore local community heritage in Ipswich is showing at the Town Hall Galleries.

"Coming to Ipswich" is a partnership project between English Heritage and Colchester & Ipswich Museums Service to encourage people to explore their history in the context of how and when they came to be living in Ipswich.

Sarah Watson-Jones, of English Heritage, said: "The Coming To Ipswich project offers a wonderful opportunity for local organisations and community groups to share their own personal experiences of coming to Ipswich and play a part in interpreting such wonderful stories for all to enjoy."

Councillor Judy Terry, Ipswich Borough Councillor's Art, Culture & Leisure portfolio-holder, said: "I hope the exhibition will reflect and celebrate the diversity of our current community. I hope people do indeed 'come to Ipswich' to see it and I am sure it will attract a great deal of interest from residents."

Opening times are Tuesday-Saturdays, 10am-5pm.
