Special guided walks for children

Special guided walks for children will be taking place during the summer holidays. Ipswich’s Blue Badge Tourist Guides will be leading the walks - with titles like "Horrible History" and "I Never Noticed That Before" - every Wednesday.

The walks will start at the Tourist Information Centre, St Stephen’s Church, at 10.30am.

Ideal for eight to 12 year olds (although others with a genuine interest can join in), the walks will feature the bits that do not always get taught in the classroom - torture, death, the plague, hangings, burning at the stake as well as secret doors and hidden, gruesome faces.

Places should be booked in advance and cost £3 per child. One adult per booking may accompany free of charge.

Full details are available from the Tourist Information Centre - telephone 01473 258070 or email mailto:tourist@ipswich.gov.uk
