Residents are being asked their views about plans to create new wildlife projects in an Ipswich recreation ground.
Ipswich Borough Council is looking at the possibility of working with local schoolchildren to create a small meadow area for slow worms, a hedge consisting of native plants and a "refuge" for native reptiles at the Brunswick Road site.
Staff have drawn up some proposals, which include leaving access points and a path through the long grass area and the need to involve residents in conservation issues in the recreation ground.
"This is part of the Council's green agenda but I want to stress that nothing has been decided," said Councillor Judy Terry, the Borough's Arts, Culture & Leisure portfolio-holder. "Conservation and biodiversity issues are key areas for us but consultation is vital and will help us to determine how we proceed."
