There's no reason for children in Ipswich to get bored during the long lazy days of summer. This year's programme from Team Ipswich is bursting at the seams with over 130 activity sessions to choose from!

From traditional favourites like athletics, sportschemes, swim camps and tennis camps to popular newcomers such as High School Musical Street Dance, Uni-Hockey and Liquid Trailers at Crown Pools. Parents can be assured that all sessions are delivered in safe, secure environments with qualified instructors who are committed to making every child’s visit special.

Places on some activities are limited and need to be booked, but many are designed so you can just turn up on the day. Some are even free of charge, such as the Game-On project, which will be touring Ipswich again this summer delivering basketball, martial arts, non-contact boxing and street dance. Ipswich Borough Council's Play Service will also be providing free play sessions themed 'Give us a Go' on National Play Day on the 6th August.

Once again, Ipswich Borough Council has linked up with local organisation Out & About to ensure that children and young people with disabilities can also choose from, and take part in any activity or sport this holiday.

The monthly junior I-card continues to provide excellent value for money, and includes all casual sessions such as swimming, sportschemes, rollerskating, racket sports and more, from the equivalent of just 43p a day!

You can view the entire programme online at www.getoutgetactive.com (opens in a new window) or pick up a brochure at any Ipswich Borough sports centre or Crown Pools.
