Ipswich people are invited to come and help celebrate the centenary of the Territorial Army on Sunday 05 October.

A special TA 100 parade is taking place on the Cornhill at 2.00pm. The Lord Lieutenant, Lord Tollemache, the Mayor of Ipswich, David Hale, and the Commanding Officer will inspect the troops as a military band plays. This will be followed by a drumhead service on the steps of the Town Hall.

The Mayor said: "We owe a debt of gratitude to all our servicemen and women, especially in these often dangerous times, and the TA is no exception. I hope many local people will come along on Sunday to join in the celebration."
