Building on the success of the young people's art exhibition 'In Our Neighbourhoodz' hosted at the Town Hall Galleries over the 2007 October half-term, THG are pleased to announce that spring / autumn half-term holidays will become fixtures in the exhibition programme dedicated to showcasing and engaging a diversity of creative talents from young people from the Ipswich Community.

Although the venue has been set aside as an 'exhibition space' we anticipate that this can be interpreted very widely with the designated Council Chamber space being used as a 'platform' for exhibition, experimentation, for both static and live pieces, and can be used as a testing ground for trying out new material and all sorts of creative outputs including performance, music, film, food, entertainment…etc

If you would like more information about how to become involved in accessing and planning any subsequent activity please contact Julia Devonshire, as above.

Councillor Judy Terry, Ipswich Borough Council's Arts, Culture & Leisure portfolio-holder, said: "We know there is a tremendous amount of artistic talent among young people in our town and we want them to come forward. The Town Hall Galleries are a great showcase so please take advantage of them and show what you can do."
