A special guided walk is planned to explore the connections between a shrine in Tudor Ipswich and the town of Nettuno, in Italy
A unique guided walk has been arranged by Ipswich Blue Badge Tourist Guides to take place in the town on Saturday 16 August.
The themed walk, entitled, "The Shrine of our Lady of Grace at Ipswich – the History and the Mystery", will commence at the town's Tourist Information Centre in St Stephen's Church at 2.15pm.

The walk will explore the connection between the shrine (pictured left) - which in Tudor times was one of the most important in the country and was visited by Henry VIII and Catherine of Aragon - and Nettuno in Italy, which remains a place of pilgrimage to this day.
It will also help explain ecclesiastical links between 12th Century and 21st Century Ipswich, as well as a royal wedding that took place in Ipswich in 1297.
Places are limited and must be booked in advance at Ipswich Tourist Information Centre. The cost is £4.50 per person which includes refreshments at the Sanctuary Restaurant (St Nicholas Church), a fitting finale to the walk.
Tickets and further information are available from the Tourist Information Centre. Call 01473 258070 or email tourist@ipswich.gov.uk
