The annual Tourism in Suffolk Awards (opens in a new window) are taking place this Thursday at Trinity Park in Ipswich.

Once again, Visit-Ipswich, the tourism partnership for the town, is proud to be sponsoring the People's Award for the Best Visitor Experience. The three finalists, Baylham Rare Breeds Farm, Kentwell Hall, and the Lady Florence River Cruise Restaurant, are three excellent examples of tourism businesses working hard to provide the best customer experience that they can.

But this year is extra special as Ipswich Borough Council has received two nominations of its own, highlighting its successful Tourist Information Centre (TIC) and the ever-popular Ip-art Festival.

Ipswich TIC is thrilled to be shortlisted again as one of three finalists battling it out for the celebrated title of Suffolk Tourist Information Centre of the year. The nomination reflects the excellent standard of service the TIC team provide as enthusiastic ambassadors for Ipswich.

The nomination for Ip-art will be a first appearance at the Suffolk Tourism Awards for the festival team, who are really excited to be included in the top three finalists in the Best Festival and Events category.

This award recognises the organisers of special events that are created or developed in Suffolk and that make a real difference to the county. That could be providing increased national awareness for Suffolk or simply motivating a community to raise its game.
