Ipswich Borough Council went blue today in support of the Evening Star's "Wear your Football Shirt to Work Day" raising money for the Somebody's Daughter appeal.

Staff from all areas of the council donned their town shirts - with one brave employee even daring to wear her Norwich colours for the whole day.

Over £175 was raised for the appeal, which aims young and vulnerable women in the town.

Ahead of the big Ipswich - Norwich derby on Sunday, Chief Executive James Hehir has pledged to contribute a further £10 if the unmentionable happens at the weekend and Norwich are somehow victorious!
