The role of Overview and Scrutiny Committee is to challenge and inform the Executive and in doing so ensure that the Council is working efficiently and effectively. The Committee acts as the Council's very own 'Watchdog'.
Overview and Scrutiny ensures that Executive decisions are publicly held to account and that decision making becomes transparent, services are monitored and help develop policy through reviews and final recommendations.
