IEG1 Statement
This document is the Implementing E-Government (1) statement for Ipswich Borough Council, as required by the Department of Transport, Local Government and the Regions. It has been prepared following DTLR guidelines, and it is supported by a more detailed `e-government` strategy for the whole authority that spans all services and partnership arrangements. The document is for 2 audiences; it has been prepared to inform central government and our peers in local government about our progress and plans for e-government, and it will also be considered by our local community - the citizens that we serve. As such the document seeks to be accessible and readable to any observer, such as by limiting the use of jargon, whilst still meeting the expectations and needs of those who are familiar with governmental process, and who monitor our progress.
