The purpose of this paper is to consider the future of Specialised cinema in Ipswich and the current location and market position of Ipswich Film Theatre (IFT). The paper follows on from the council’s decision to consult with the public on the Arts and Entertainments Services in report E/04/02 (2004) and the Councils adoption of its Cultural Strategy Vibrant Ipswich…in 2005.
