The layers are sorted into 'Themes'. Click on the relevant 'Theme' name to expand the list of layers. To add or remove a layer, click on the layer name in the list and then click on 'Update Map' to display the selected layers on the map.
Legend
A legend of the displayed layers are shown on the right-hand side of the map. To hide the features of a layer uncheck the checkbox of the layer in the legend. You can show it again by checking the checkbox.

An area represents the object on the map either filled or transparent with a coloured border |
The small red and white ruler in the icon means that the map has to be at a certain scale before the relevant layer will be displayed. If the layer is greyed out in the legend this means that the layer is not displayed at the current map scale. To display the layer information and metadata click on
and it will be shown in a form.
Information about the objects on the map
In most cases you can get information about the object, as shown below, by passing your cursor over it.
When viewing Planning Applications or Listed Buildings, details about the object can be viewed in a form when the object is clicked. Further information is available when viewing layers from the Adopted Local Plan or the Draft Local Plan; clicking on the object will open a PDF document with the regulations referring to the lines and areas shown on the plan.
