The Council has a duty to periodically review their conservation areas and if necessary amend them due to changing circumstances. This process has been completed for the Borough's conservation areas. In addition to the statutory revisions the appraisal documents have been redesigned. Community involvement is essential in understanding the special nature and different issues for each conservation area and these revised appraisals are currently open to a period of public consultation.

The revised draft appraisal documents will be available to view in two ways. You can view or download the documents on this website and email us your comments via the comments form. Alternatively copies of the documents are available to view, with a comments form, at the One-Ipswich Customer Services Centre at the Town Hall, Princes Street, Ipswich.
