Access for All

Ipswich Access Group was formed in 1987 to advise Ipswich Borough Council on all disabled access issues. The group comprises representatives from voluntary organisations, Social Services, the Borough and Suffolk County Council's Access Officers and three Borough Councillors.

The current representatives from the voluntary sector are; Ipswich Blind Society, Optua, Ipswich & District Disabled Drivers Group, St. Raphael Club, Suffolk Deaf Association, Papworth Trust, VISTA, Brittle Bone Society, Red Cross, Age Concern, and Disabled Advice Bureau.

Ipswich Borough Council's Access Officer

The Council's Access Officer offers advice on access by people with disabilities to proposed or existing premises.
We would like to hear from any voluntary organisations involved with disability.
