Our collections reflect the origins and development of Ipswich, from mediaeval buildings to the Second World War.
The collections contain items from the lives, local industries and culture of the people of Ipswich and Suffolk, incuding engineering, shops, brewing, malting, the fertiliser industry and education.
The collections include coins - including Ipswich mint coins, counters and commemorative medallions.
These exhibits help illustrate the domestic lives of local people with collections of heating, lighting, washing, food preparation and sport and leisure.
