Ipswich's beautiful parks are an important part of the town's heritage and offer access to more than 500 hectares of green space and wildlife habitats.

Some of our historic parks, such as Chantry, Christchurch and Holywells, are of national importance but even the smaller parks, such as Alexandra, Bourne, Gippeswyk and Stone Lodge, are significant green spaces.

The parks are looked after by Ipswich Borough Council – often with the valuable help of Friends' groups.
