  • Lloyds Avenue (at the bottom of the hill)

  • Providence Street
  • Rail Station
  • Queen Street
  • Tower Ramparts
  • Tower Street

  • Westgate Street
  • Wolsey Short Stay Pay and Display car park

Cycle parking is free of charge when using the hoops provided.

A dedicated cycle map showing the cycle routes in Ipswich and safe crossing places is available from the Town Hall.

Cyclists should not cycle on footways unless signs are present which indicate that this is permissible. Cycling is not allowed in the main town centre pedestrianised area, although cycling is allowed from west to east through Butter Market.

There are many busy junctions around the town centre and cyclists are urged to take care when travelling through these areas. Cyclist's signals and advanced stop lines are provided for assistance at many junctions where there are cycle lanes.

There are contra-flow cycle lanes in Upper Brook Street and Museum Street and cyclists are reminded of the need to be aware of oncoming traffic, particularly buses, and the possibility of pedestrians suddenly stepping into the road.
