What is Shopmobility?
It is a service provided by the Council where mobility impaired people (temporary or permanent) can borrow scooters or wheelchairs to access town centre facilities).
How much does it cost?
It is free of charge but voluntary donations are always welcome.
Where is it?
It is located within the Buttermarket Shopping Centre - there are car parking spaces within the Centre specifically for Shopmobility customers, who get 2 hours free parking.
How do I join?
By calling into the Centre or telephoning (01473) 222225 - equipment can be borrowed at the time of joining if proof of identity is provided.
Do I have to be an Ipswich resident?
No, we welcome people from anywhere.
