Ipswich Borough Council Parks Patrol Service operates in all Parks, Recreation Areas, and Open Spaces within the Borough, a total of 72 different locations.

There are 30 parks, open spaces and recreation grounds, and a further 5 countryside parks. Ipswich Borough Council maintains 69 play areas. Part time Play Inspectors help ensure that standards are maintained within the Borough.

Working closely with the Parks Department and Grounds Maintenance Staff, every effort is made to ensure the best possible standard of cleanliness and safety is achieved for Ipswich Parks.

Park Patrol Staff cover 469 hectares of Parks and Open Spaces within Ipswich. Parks Patrol Officers deal with a wide range of issues in relation to the parks
