Ipswich Borough Council's Bulky Refuse Service is a chargeable service.

The price is £18.00 (prices subject to change).

Up to 5 bulky items can be removed from the front garden of your property on a scheduled day, within 7 days, once we have received payment.

If you are on 'means tested benefit' (Income Support or JobSeekers Allowance, Income based) you are entitled to 1 free collections per year. Any further collection requests after the free entitlement will be charged at standard rate.

Payment Method

Telephone payments can be made by debit or credit card by calling the StreetCare Refuse Line on (01473) 433090.

Please make your cheque or postal order payable to 'Ipswich Borough Council' and send it to:

Please enclose a list of up to 5 items you require to be removed (we cannot process the collection without a list). Alternatively, you can call into the Customer Service Centre, Town Hall, Princes Street between 8.30am and 5.30pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, between 10.00am and 5.30pm on Wednesdays or between 9.30am and 12.30pm on Saturdays to arrange a collection.

Please do not place extra bags or boxes beside the bin. Large families might want to seek advice if they regularly have extra refuse.
