The guide at the bottom of this page has been compiled for people with disabilities who would like to take part in organised sport/physical activity. To help you identify a club that can cater for your needs, we at Ipswich Borough Council's Sports Development Unit, with the help of the Ipswich Disability Sport Forum, have put together this guide highlighting a selection of local sports clubs. All clubs featured have completed a simple questionnaire telling us about their club and the sessions they run. All information is reproduced with their consent and is correct at the time of going to press.
Please note: The Council cannot make regular detailed checks on the clubs listed in this guide, nor does it wish to interfere in the way they are run on a day-to-day basis. Inclusion in this guide therefore does not imply an endorsement or recommendation by Ipswich Borough Council. The Ipswich Disability Forum was established in 2000 to support and promote sport and leisure opportunities for people with disabilities in the Ipswich area. The Forum has good representation from local people and organisations, all with the shared interest of increasing and improving sporting opportunities for people with disabilities.
