Admissions Policy: Ipswich Borough Council operates a standard admissions policy to all its swimming facilities in the interest of customer safety. "A responsible adult over the age of 16 is required to supervise children under the age of 8 years. One adult is only allowed to supervise two under 8's at any one time. The adult must accompany the child/children in the water AT ALL TIMES. "

Fore Street pool is an elegant Victorian facility which was built in 1894 which comprises of a single 25 x 7-yard traditional swimming pool.  

Fore Street pool caters primarily for clubs, schools, swimming lessons, professional courses and private party hire.

Public Swimming is available from 12 noon - 1.45pm (last ticket sold 1.20pm) Monday to Friday. 

Professional Courses include:- A.S.A. Full Teachers, A.S.A Assistant Teachers, Rescue Test For Teachers, Bronze Medallion & National Pool Lifeguard Qualification.

Disabled Facilities
Entrance to the facility can be gained via a ramp located at the side of the building next to the car park where there are designated disabled car parking spaces. Disabled changing, showering and toilet facilities are available on site and a chair hoist is available for gaining access into the pool.

We offer a number of party packages for children from under 4, to 10 and over.
