Clubs based at Gainsborough
There are a wide variety of clubs that use the facilities at Gainsborough - everything from the Gainsborough Karate Club to the Pipers Vale Gymnastics Club, which has a purpose built facility attached to the centre.
Main Sports Hall
A multi-purpose hall (30m x 16.5m) suitable for a range of sports including badminton (new badminton ladder now running - click here for details), table tennis, trampolining, roller-skating, netball, basketball and five-a-side football. The hall incorporates a full length viewing balcony, P. A. system, electronic scoreboard and dividing curtains making it suitable for sporting and non-sporting events, social functions, children's parties, seminars, conferences and exhibitions.
Community Room
A versatile room measuring 10m x 7.5m, this room is ideal for children's parties, meetings, lectures and seminars, training events and social events. The room can accommodate up to 60 people. An adjoining kitchenette is available to allow refreshments to be served.
Squash Court
A superb quality court with sprung floor and glass back.
Bar/LoungeThe bar area is available for hire for social functions and is open regularly on Saturday Afternoons during the hockey and football seasons. The room is also available for small informal meetings in comfortable surroundings.
Profiles Fitness SuiteFeatures the latest variable resistance single station equipment and computer graphics cardiovascular equipment for an all-round workout in an attractive environment (more).
Floodlit netball/tennis Our floodlit netball/tennis courts are now

available to book.
Outdoor Facilities Gainsborough Sports and Community Centre provides eleven soccer pitches, 1 junior pitch, 3 mini-soccer pitches and modern, purpose-built changing accommodation. The centre also now has a new floodlit artificial All Weather Area. The full size pitch can also be split into two Five-A-Side pitches.
Bookings for hockey and football are available during evenings up to 10pm and also at weekends.
Fitness ClassesWe offer a range of Fitness Classes to suite all styles and abilities. For full details please refer to the Fitness Classes page .
ProgrammeThe programme aims to cater for the needs of all, from babies to the 50+, through clubs, courses, fitness classes, casual activities and casual hire.
Mums + Tots and Rainbow Club provide informal play opportunities for under five's to aid social, physical and intellectual development.
Older children can choose from a wide range of junior sports clubs including soccer, badminton, gymnastics, karate, and trampolining all supervised by qualified and experienced coaches.
The 50+ Sports sessions provide those of mature years with a range of sports and leisure opportunities in a friendly and relaxed environment; those activities include badminton, table tennis, short mat bowls, keep-fit, snooker and the opportunity to use the Profiles Fitness Suite under the supervision of a qualified and experienced fitness supervisor.
Those with a disability are encouraged to participate in all areas of the centre's programme, in addition to this, a number of activities including Supervised Profiles sessions and our "Active Antics" sessions are available specifically for those with a disability.
During school holidays a comprehensive range of exciting, fun and stimulating sport and play activities are provided from themed playdays for the under five's, sports courses and casual roller-skating and Sports Scheme sessions for older children.

Rainbow Club
Rainbow club is for pre-school children and their parents to come along to socialize with children their own age and make new friends.
Each session enables the children to take part in a number of activities including; Arts & Crafts, singing, sliding and climbing.
Different toys, books and games are put out each week from puzzles, play dough, sandpits, farm yard toys & lots more.
The children are awarded certificates each half term which they work from a fun, non-competitive award scheme and is incented to give the children incentive for achieving various physical and social skills.
Parents and carers are required to stay with their children, offering real quality time spent with them and the opportunity to also make new friends.
