FREE ART ACTIVITY OPEN FOR ALL
THE BIG DRAWTHE GREAT CHINESE DESIGN & ILLUSTRATION PROJECT
Town Hall Galleries, Ipswich
25/28/29 October, 11am-3.30pm
Three days of half-term drop-in activity will take place inside the gallery and outside at the Cornhill.
Using the historic artifacts in Gallery 3’s “Dragons, Silks and Stories” exhibition as a starting point. Artists will be asking participants to look at how such imagery continues in contemporary Chinese culture and consider how it has influenced Western illustration and design. Drawings in various scales will be produced and collected over the three days culminating a large-scale collaborative piece, which will tell its own story.
Suitable for all ages (three years upwards). Children must be accompanied by adults.
