Introduction
Ipswich Borough Council operate numerous sport and swimming courses at our various sporting facilities.
These courses are often a great way to introduce children or adults to a sport or leisure activity, and provide the ideal opportunity to learn or improve upon their skills and techniques. They can also be of great benefit, for those who wish to progress to some of the many clubs that are held at the centres. We provide qualified coaches for all of the courses that we operate.
Most of the courses run during school term time, however, the swimming courses tend to continue throughout the school holidays.

Please note that all prices quoted are for 12 week courses and will be charged pro-rata if that differs.
You can pay for your course in total or by two instalments. The first instalment reserves your place, the second must be paid by the end of week 6 or the place will be lost.
You can book in person at any of the sports centres by card, cheque, cash or by phone using a credit/debit card.
Concessionary prices are available for these courses if you are eligible for our status 3 price structure. Please refer to our charges page for details or ask at reception.
