basketball The English Basketball Association's visionary Outdoor Basketball Initiative (OBI), funded by the Sport England Lottery Fund, is an innovative scheme designed to bring basketball 'Right Up Your Street'



OUTDOOR BASKETBALL INITIATIVE

The Objectives

~ To make basketball available, accessible and free to all.

~ To establish a partnership between the sport of basketball and the community.

~ To introduce young people to basketball and provide opportunities for them to develop and progress within the sport.

~ To encourage young people in healthy self development and self awareness.

~ To provide an alternative purposeful activity for young people by keeping  them away from damaging activities.
