FencingDating back to 1200BC, fencing is one of the oldest of sports.
The modern Olympic sport however, requires fencers to be
the fittest of athletes and have levels of skills which require
many hours of dedicated training. Learning the skills offers
thrilling activity and is suitable for a range of abilities in both
adults and juniors.

gymnastics
A very popular sport for both girls and boys which is designed to develop childrens movement skills and coordination. The British Gymnastics Association has created a range of schemes through which young people can be introduced to the sport, and the courses are designed to encourage children to progress through the badges.

We also work in partnership with the Pipers Vale Gymnastics Centre, which is located next to Gainsborough Sports Centre. Pipers Vale is the home to Gymnastics in Ipswich and offers a fantastic world-class venue. It is one of the finest gymnastics centres in the country and offers an extensive programme, including parent and toddler sessions which do not have to be booked. There’s pre-school ‘teddy bear’ classes as well as many recreational classes for children aged 5 years and over, as well as the elite gymnasts, which are selected from the recreational classes. We have an Ofsted Accredited créche at 3 of our centres, staffed by trained Creche Leaders. Crèche places can be booked 7 days in advance with an I card and the price for crèche places are included in the monthly I-card packages. If you do not have a monthly I-card package the price is £1.90.
Please note: All children must be registered on their first visit to the Crèche. Children must be under 5. Maximum 2 hour stay for any child (1.5 hours at sports centres). Adult I-card monthly packages includes up to two children.
