The operating times for the various Council services differ over the festive period.

Bin collections

Black bin collections will be made a day later between Christmas and New Year, but blue bin collections will run on the same day as normal.

There will be no brown bin collections on or between Monday 25 December – Monday 8 January. Brown bin collections will resume from Tuesday 9 January.

Don't forget to leave your real Christmas tree (minus decorations) by your brown bin - we'll collect it for free.

Ipswich HEARS

The Ipswich HEARS and CCTV emergency centre staff are on duty 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, so it is no change for them over Christmas.

If you have an emergency and need to speak to someone at the council during the Christmas period, you should call the Emergency Control Centre on 01473 433444.

The general reception and Repairs Centre numbers will also divert through to the Emergency Control Centre during this period.
