Licences and street trading

Ipswich Borough Council's Licensing and Enforcement team is responsible for all the administrative tasks and enforcement action associated with the issuing of various licences on behalf of the Council.

The team deal with a wide variety of licences including:

• Alcohol and entertainment premises;
• Charitable collections (street collections and house to house collections);
• Gambling premises;
• Gaming machines;
• Lotteries;
• Motor vehicle salvage operators;
• Pleasure boats;
• Scrap metal yards;
• Sitting-out areas (pavement cafes);
• Street trading.
