Call centre advisorIpswich Borough Council has highly-trained staff ready in the Customer Contact Centre (CCC) to take your call to help you on anything from Housing Benefit to reporting a found dog.

Here are the numbers you need to access our services:

  • Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit: 432700
  • Council Tax: 433910
  • Housing: 433370 (e.g. repairs, Tenancy Services, Choice Based Lettings)
  • Highways and Streetlighting: 432720
  • Environmental Issues: 433115 (e.g. noise pollution, pest control)
  • Cleaner Ipswich Hotline: 433000 (e.g. dog fouling)
  • Domestic Waste: 433090 (e.g. bin collections)

Alternatively you can visit the Customer Services Centre (CSC), which is located at the Town Hall on the Cornhill.

Please remember if you are applying for Housing and Council Tax Benefit or to be able to bid for Social Housing, you must bring the documentation requested in the application from to ensure we can process your application as quickly as possible.

Making a payment 

Pay Here posterYou can no longer pay council bills at the Customer Services Centre.

The easy way to pay Council bills is by Direct Debit but if you want to pay by cash or card you can use a network of Post Offices and Payzone outlets across Ipswich.

You can also make a payment over the phone, 24 hours, 7 days a week by calling our payments line on 01473 433777. Please ensure you have your reference/account/invoice number ready.
