Ipswich Planning Policy
What we do
The Planning Policy service at Ipswich Borough Council is responsible for managing development through producing local planning policy in accordance with national and regional policy. The Planning Policy service has the following key aims:
- To prepare, monitor and review the Local Plan and provide planning policy advice;
- To lead the work on the regeneration of Ipswich, particularly the Waterfront and Village;
- To participate in, and where appropriate lead, partnership working;
- To promote Ipswich at a national, regional and local level;
- To attract and where practical maximise financial receipts to the Council;
- To ensure a well trained, motivated and committed team able to deliver the service aims.
