Permits

In parking regulated areas there are a number of permits or parking waivers which can be used in specific circumstances. These are listed below.

• Tradesmen's monthly exemption permits
  Tradesmen working in residents' parking zones 1-4 may apply for a monthly exemption permit.
• New - Tradesmen's daily permits
  Booklets of five daily permits are available for tradesmen working in residents' parking zones.
• Dispensations
  Applications for a dispensation from parking regulations may be granted in exceptional circumstances, enabling parking on restricted streets, bays and yellow lines.
• Suspensions
  An application for a suspension can be made where a restricted bay needs to be reserved for a specific reason, such as moving house.
• Exemption permits for statutory services
  Applications may be made by statutory services workers for the residents' parking zones 1-4.
• Skip permits
  To arrange for a skip permit you need to contact the Highways Maintenance team.
• Season tickets
  Season tickets are available at selected car parks.
• Blue Badges
  The Blue Badge scheme is administered by Suffolk County Council.
